I guarantee the hedgehog or any pet I sell to be void of any birth defects until it reaches the age of 6 months unless you have your baby shipped, warranty ends as soon as I leave the airport, I will not refund or place any baby or adult shipped via plane.
If buyer decides within the first month of ownership they no longer want their hedgehog, sugar glider, tenrec or any other pet I sell, I will take the baby back for 50% of the purchase price, this excludes any adults purchased. No Questions asked. I will never exchange a pet. I can not risk my herd to anything that the particular hedgehog was exposed to.
There are many health concerns out there on hedgehogs, if you happen to have an issue please contact me asap, I work with everyone case by case, I rarely have had any cases so far and I may need a necropsy to verify. There are so many people out there to scam others this is my only way to verify that the hedgehog had a birth defect.
I do not offer any warranty for WHS, due to the fact hedgehogs can wobble for so many reason and everyone jumps to the conclusion it is wobbly hedgehog syndrome. Please contact me if you believe your hedgehog has this and we can discuss options as well. A Necropsy is the only way to properly diagnosis this. I will not help with the cost of the test. I believe WHS is a viral disease vs genetics
Biting: I do not have any guarantee with biting. I have never personally had a biter EVER. Although anything with teeth can bite, I've had a few upset customers over the years about their brand new baby biting. Please discourage this behavior. At first it may seem CUTE but remember your hedgehog will get bigger and it will hurt. If you happen to have a biter for any reason please track down why? What did I last eat? Did I wash my hands? What soap? Aerosol sprayed? Insence? Laundry Soap? Nail Polish? Do you smoke? Some food odors will still stay on your hands even after being washed the same with smoking. Hedgehogs are very scent oriented and use this in search of food. Hedgehogs can also bite due to being stressed or in pain, reading your hedgehogs signs will help deter this behavior. Exchanging a hedgehog without properly identifying the problem is asking for trouble which is why I will never exchange. Please take the time to figure out why and work on not letting it happen again. Bad behaviors are hard to break!
